Origin Of The Earth

Origin Of The Earth

We will explain the origin of the Earth through three Concepts, so we are dividing it into three parts.

1. Monistic Concept.

2. Dualistic Hypothesis Concept.

3. Modern Hypothesis Concept.

1. Monistic Concept (Parental Hypothesis)

In This Concept, Planets and Earth have originated from a single star.

(a ) Comet Hypothesis :- This hypothesis was presented by Caste-de-Buffon, According  to this a giant comet had collided with the Sun due to which a large amount of material was emitted. Overtime, larger bodies ab this scattered matter transformed into planets and smaller bodies transformed into satellite.

(b) Kant's gaseous Hypothesis  :— Germain philosopher Immanue Kant propounded the Northern Zodiac Hypothesis in 1755 AD based on Newton's laws of gravity. According to this, due to the effect of centrifugal force, nine rings were separated from a hot and dynamic nebula of the Sun, due to whose cooling various planets of the solar system were formed.

(c) Nebular Hypothesis of Laplace :- The French Scientist Laplace, while modifying Kant's Theory in 1796 AD, said that first a single ring emerged from a huge and hot nebula. and later it got divided into nine rings, where as according to Kant, nine rings emerged from the nebula itself were.

(d) Meteoric Hypothesis :- The meteoric hypothesis was given by Laukier in 1919 AD.

2. Dualistic  Hypothesis Concept

Dualistic hypothesis high lights the Origin of earth two stars or Heavenly bodies. This concept is further known as Bio- parental Hypothesis.

(a) Planetesimal Hypothesis of Chamberlin :- It was propounded by Chamberlin and Moulton in 1905 AD. According to them, the planets were not formed from hot gaseous nebulae but from solid bodies. In the beginning there were two huge stars in the universe, one was the Sun and the other was another Star, When this other huge star reached near the Sun, due to its gravitational force innumerable particles got separated from the surface of the Sun, These particles came together and became the reason for the formation of Earth and other planets.

(b) Tidal Hypothesis Of James Jeans :- The origin of the Earth was compiled by James Jeans in 1919 AD. According to this, the solar system was formed by the combination of the Sun and another star. As this star came closer to the Sun, some part of the Sun got pulled in the form of filament due to tidal erosion. The same filament later broke and started revolving around the Sun. This led to the formation of the various planets of the solar system, including Earth. Later Jeffries modified this hypothesis in 1929, Told that apart from the initial two stars, there was also another star which was the companion star of the Sun. Earth and other planets and satellites were created from the elements produced as a result of the collision between a companion star and another star.

(c) Binary Star Hypothesis :- H.N Rasel, This theory is a kind of modification of the hypothesis of Jeans and Jeffreys.

(d) Interstellar Dust Hypothesis of Otto Schmidt :- In this hypothesis given by Russian scientist Otto Rimard in 1943, the origin of the planets is believed to be from gas and dust particles.

(e) Supernova Hypothesis Of Fred Hoyle and Litilatan (1939) :-Not two but three stars have played a role in the origin of the planets - the Sun, its companion star and another nearby star.

(f) Cepheid Theory :-S.C Banerji (1942)

(g) The Fission Theory :- Rosjen

3.Modern Theory

(a) Bing-Bang Theory :- George Lemaitre propounded this theory in 1927 to explain the origin of the universe, galaxy and solar system. Later, in 1967, Robert Wegener presented a detailed explanation of this theory.

(b) Cosmic Inflation Theory :- by American Scientist Alan Guth in 1980, the early Universe expanded exponentially fast for a fraction of a second after the Big Bang.

(c) Steady State Theory :- Thomas Gold and Herman Bondy.

(d) Pulsating Universe Theory :- Allen Sundes.
